Carson’s SkyView Short-Tube Wide-Angle Telescope is a lightweight, refractor type telescope that is rugged, compact, and easy to use. It is a supurb instrument for the serious amateur desiring wide-field viewing and astroimaging capabilities. For CCD imaging in particular, the R200SS offers enhanced capability. Its ultrashort focal length renders an unusually large image scale, putting more of an extended deep-sky object and surrounding star field in the digital frame than is typically possible.
