Carson’s SkyView Short-Tube Wide-Angle Telescope is a lightweight, refractor type telescope that is rugged, compact, and easy to use. It has an 80mm objective lens with a 350mm focal length, and is equipped with two removeable Kellner Eyepieces (6mm/25mm). The finder scope is 8×21mm, and a folding table-top tripod is supplied.

Not your average, ordinary reflector! Inside the aluminum tube of the R200SS is a big 200mm multi-coated parabolic mirror, whose short 800mm focal length makes this a super-fast f/4 system.
It is a supurb instrument for the serious amateur desiring wide-field viewing and astroimaging capabilities. For CCD imaging in particular, the R200SS offers enhanced capability. Its ultrashort focal length renders an unusually large image scale, putting more of an extended deep-sky object and surrounding star field in the digital frame than is typically possible. A real luxury! The rack-and-pinion focuser has a built-in T-thread, allowing attachment of a camera for prime-focus photography.
