Q:What exactly are we expected to find other than 4 times more memory required and 10 times more disk utilization?
A:Crashes, security vulnerabilities and bugs that come with the standart installation.

Some new features have been added, but most are included in the Office 2000 CD Set. The Serial Number issue was not a bright idea. Windows Xp Professional has slowed down my computer a lot & A few of my devices will not work under the xp enviorment until the companies update their surrport page. DO NOT RUSH TO THE STORE TO BUY WINDOWS or OFFICE XP Until all bugs are ironed out & driver pages are updated. The PROs are it has a pretty interface, The dialog boxes & icons are cool. A real step-up for Windows. It almost looks as cool as the MAC OS enviorment.

I bought it, optimistically. I make and repair computers for a living so I know what I’m doing.
Windows XP crashed many times upon installation. Finally installed then crashed some more. Then after running for a day, failed, and now my hard drive won’t start.
STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS XP and stick with reliable Windows 98SE.
