Just purchased this Sony TV for my parents. They love the picture quality and screen size. They've had nothing but good things to say about the TV.

My wife bought this for me as a retirement gift! She actually picked it out by going to Best Buy and just looked at all of the HDTV's. She simply bought the one with the best picture……end of story!
Pro : Best picture I have seen! Has hookup for computer.
Con : Sound, program guide

This is an amazing television. Parents couldn't wait more then one day to have someone over the house to show this amazing gift off. It's so amazing as Mr. Chase said as soon as he turned it on…."Wow, even the snow is nice" Now the only problem anyone will have with this unit is trying to pull themselves away from it.
Pro : Colors, clarity, equals coolness
Con : It's hard to stop watching

The tv is not the thinnest of plasmas, but if you have a desk top and love LCD (which is way better than plasma) than this line from Sony is perfect for you. I highly recommend it and will be buying two more for my home.
Pro : Picture quality, color vibrance, simple set up
Con : speakers, hard to wall mount

The box is rather large, but the LCD is well packed.
Set-up was accomplished in less than 15 minutes.
The picture quality is superb, after the reds were toned down a notch.
We researched, as many do, and made our final decision based on the 7000:1 contrast ratio. Viewed from approx. 14 feet, the picture is very vivid.
The on-screen menu selection is easy to follow.
We ran the audio through our amp and speaker system for DVDs, but the Sony speakers are sufficient to watch regular programming.
We were limited to an interior cabinet dimension, or the next step up would have been the Sony Bravia Pro engine.
Don't be reluctant to purchase this set.
Pro : Set-up is a breeze.
Con : A little pricey.

After much shopping, and researching plasmas tv -versus LCD's, I just bought this "LCD", so far it has been a great purchase, the colors are fenomenal, very easy to use, I haven't received the HD receiver from Direct TV, however even with analog signal, it still has great picture, Can't wait to get the receiver.
The size is excellent, not too big, nor too small, I didn't want to hang it on the wall, it fitted perfect inside my entertaiment center.
Pro : all
Con : none

FYI, had this LCD TV one day and then the LCD panel had lines going thru it (bad LCD panel the repair person said). Called Sony service and it took them 3 weeks (after a number of calls) to let me know that they can
Pro : None
Con : Bad LCD Panel - Warranty Service
