I'm an engineer and like to think of myself as a very technically savvy shopper. So, when I started looking for an MP3 player I looked at all the specifications. I didn’t know if I wanted a hard drive or flash drive, one with a built in tuner, expandable memory, etc… So, I did a lot of research and one of the things that I found was that a flash drive was probably the way to go since, they are not as susceptible to skipping when exercising or driving down the road in your car. Also, a couple of other things that were important to me were the ability to listen to the radio while I’m working and to add memory at a later date when I fill up the internal memory. Anyway, with all this said, I looked at the most recognized MP3 players on the market like; the Apple iPod, Microsoft Zune, Samsung K5 and countless others. Not to knock any of the competition but the SanDisk Sansa e260 had a lot to offer for the price. It has a flash drive, built in FM tuner, an expandable memory slot and can play videos. Also, the menu is very initiative and easy to operate with a crystal clear color display.
Before you shell out a lot of bucks for an MP3 player do your homework. Don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself. Good luck.
Pro : Expandable Memory, Plays Videos, Built in FM Tuner, Long Battery Life
Con : I can't think of any at the moment

Having recently given up on and returning a Lyra RD2762 (trash), I bought this and I am truly impressed. My first thought was to go with an IPod Nano, but after a little research I knew this was the way to go. I love it when I'm right.
4gb's of storage, photo viewing, video playback, FM tuner with on the fly recording, voice recording, and a replaceable battery. Let's see the Nano do that.
Transferring music is seamless with Music Match, Windows Media Player and Winamp. Photos and video requires the converter program, but that works very well and is quite fast.
A lot of people find the navigation wheel to be worse than the Nano, but I actually prefer this. The "ratchet" feel works for me, and the illumination make it easy to use in the car at night.
The one big knock I have is that the front scratches way too easily, so buy a case at the same time you buy the player and life will be good. If Sandisk had used the LiquidMetal material they used on the back for the front, this thing would be perfect.
Pro : Features, styling, capacity, sound quality
Con : Front scratches very easily, proprietary USB cable

I bought my MP3 player almost a year ago, and i have to say, although it was a little quirky at some points, it still have served me well. I get my favorite videos on it, all the music that i want, and even a few pictures to make me happy. I love how I can record off the radio, save the songs and get the real ones later when i know that these are the songs i want. the voice recording is awesome for notes to myself, and fun stuff. i personally recommend this MP3 player to ANYONE who is looking for an alternative to an iPod. the best part about this MP3 player is, you don't need to buy attachments (like radio and, voice recording) like you would have to with an ipod. and the sandisk service and support is top rate. this mp3 player is a MUST HAVE!
Pro : voice recording, video, pictures, radio
Con : takes too long to turn on

Battery life is long, but troublesome to charge. I have to charge it through my notebook, it's a good idea to buy a USB adapter. Price is a major plus, with loaded features like recording, FM radio, photo, and of course video. Takes about 1 minute to load 1 minute of video, not really worth it.
Pro : Long battery life, price, more features than iPod
Con : difficult to load videos, does not have its own podcatcher

I had the Ipod Nano 4GB for a couple weeks and i exchanged it for the Sansa E260. In my opinion, most things i was interested in in an MP3 player, the sansa does better. It has video, fm radio, and on the fly recording features, it looks better, and the sound quality is just as good, if not better than Ipod's. The only things i like better about the ipod was instant start up, easier navigation(not really a problem with the sansa), and using Itunes was very simple. Overall, I recommend this player
Pro : Tons of features, more than ipod nano at the same cost, video, looks, FM Radio, and on the fly recording.
Con : Scratches pretty easily, big ear buds, slow start up

I love this player!
Excellent features packed!
Just a note for mac user:
don't use the latest firmware, trouble on mounting in mac.
use the 01.01.11A firmware, it works perfectly!
Pro : complete features; SMC feature so it can function as USB flash disk
Con : no latest development for mac user

My iPod video was stolen and I had this laying around, so I decided to use it. I still love iPods, but this is a great temporary replacement.
I was amazed at the quality of this mp3 player. The screen colors are crystal clear and it was very easy to add songs to. The only things I have problems with are the forward and back buttons, the ratchet wheel, and the charging.
It's a great value for the price, and if you don't want an iPod, the Sansa's a good choice.
Pro : don't have to use iTunes, easy to put songs on, great features
Con : scratches easily, forward and rewind buttons don't work well, charge slow
