1. Knowing Zach Braff from TV's Scrubs, I knew he had more talent than that show (brilliant in its own right) allowed him to flex. This movie allows that. His camera angles and lighting are beautiful and (most of the time) original. All the actors fit their roles perfectly with the exception of Ian Holm as the father…the casting went off in a strange direction there, but it still works overall.

   The only negative about this movie, was that the dialog seemed to be a little strained and forced at times. But those times were few and far between.

   Overall, Garden State does exactly what movies are meant to do: take bits and piences from all areas of art and incorporate them into one tight package. It is an incredible and passionate mixture of visual flare, tremendous dialogue (though strained at times), appropriate music, and heart-warming pathos.
   Pro : The direction was crisp, as was the acting

2. It's like a perfect pop song — that thing that makes you smile and tear up at the same time.The situations may be otherworldly even to someone who hails from Jersey, but the emotions and longings Braff manages to tap into are deeply universal.

3. This movie was great. I loved the story line. At first I wasn't sure how it was all going to work out and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the music, it all fit so perfectly. I can listen to some of the songs on the soundtrack and it takes my right back to the particular scene in the movie. That is powerfull. Zach Braff and Natile Portman deliver great performances that show how messed up and feble our lives can be, but we have to fight through it and find the silver lining in order to live our lives to the fullest.

4. The trailer for Garden State featured 'Let Go' by Frou Frou and is what really drew me (aside from Zach Braff) to see the movie. I had high hopes going into this movie, and it did not disappoint! This movie is so original, and so well-done that it's so hard to find faults with it. Zach Braff's filmaking debut is excellent, and he also directed it, wrote it, starred in it, and even chose the songs himself for the movie. Overall, it changed my perspective on life. Although that may be a little hard to believe, it's definately true. I now apprecitate life a little more, and have been a lot happier too. I also found it extremely relatable, b/c I know what it's like to have a skrewed up family, and experience with pills. It's a shame it didn't win more awards, but the ones it did-were well deserved! All I have to say is to go and see the movie, b/c it's one of those films that you're so glad you saw, and if you didn't-you won't know what you missed. It's a great indie movie, and be prepared to want to see it more than once. Also, the soundtrack is soooooo great! I bought it, and I can't stop listening to it. It calms me down, and puts me in a happier place. EXCELLENT JOB MR. ZACH BRAFF Keep an eye on his next projects

5. The movie was a modern down to earth type. It had romance, and like everyone else i enjoyed Braff's performance. Natalie was in the simplest form funny. The music fit with the setting which made it perfect. I hope everyone can enjoy Garden State like I have.
   Pro : the script was enchanting. There's no othe like it.
   Con : No cons.
